Channel Operation

In a growing and highly targeted and fragmented narrowcast market broadcasters face growing pressure on the value of paid advertising and few opportunities to create subscription income. Quite often channel operators are only broadcasting to their target audience for a proportion of time available but supporting 24 hour fixed costs. Big Picture offers to take a block or broadcast “zone” which it brands, programs and exploits, creating revenues which it shares with the broadcaster while additionally enhancing the profile of the host channel. Big Picture’s targeted sectors are Health fitness and Well Being, Music and Genre Film.

Big Picture’s first channel operation began in December 2004. FitOnTV, a health and fitness channel broadcast every morning from 6am-9am on SKY: Hollywood TV Channel 163.
